4 Beautiful Mussoorie Attraction

Mussoorie, also known as Queen of the Hills, is among the most popular hill stations in the country. A Britisher, Captain Frederick Young, accompanied by an official named FJ Shore, had climbed up the hill from the Doon valley in 1827 and found this ridge offering great views and a salubrious climate. This visit laid the foundation for this grand hill station.



A captivating paradise for leisure travelers and honeymooners, it is a perfect summer resort. Located on a 15-km-long horseshoe ridge with the grand Himalayas as a backdrop, Mussoorie spreads across at a height of 2,000 m above sea level. From this vantage point, it offers scenic views of the Himalayas peaks in Western Garhwal.

GUN HILL POINT

A historical and second-highest peak of Mussoorie, Gun Hill is the favourite place for viewing the picturesque Himalayan range and Doon Valley. A popular viewpoint of Mussoorie, Gun Point is located 400 ft above The Mall and accessible by a cable car as well.

KEMPTY FALL

Gigantic fall with a somersault of the streams before hitting the bottom, Kempty Falls is the most popular and one of the oldest tourist spots near Mussoorie. Developed more than 150 years ago by a British man, Kempty Falls is the most fascinating picnic spot or a perfect day-out place nearby Mussoorie at a distance of 15 km.

LAL TIBA

Lal Tibba is the highest peak's topmost point and the most famous place in Mussoorie. Popular among tourists and travelers for viewing long trails of major mountain peaks as well as romantic sunset and sunrise, Lal Tibba is located at Depot Hill in Landour.

CLOUDS END

Surrounded by the Oak and Deodar forests, Clouds End is the landmark to the geographical end of Mussoorie. Located at around 7 km from the main Mussoorie city, Clouds End is known for pleasant scenic views of hills with an enjoyable climate. A heritage building built by some British in 1838 is also an attraction at Clouds End.
